Phone Payments/Shared Cart

Phone payments and shareable carts brings a new and unique way for customers to interact with and share shopping carts with family and friends. With the outbreak of COVID-19, this timely offering, allowed a new sales channel to be born while ensuring customer safety and keeping Canadian Tire PCI compliant.

My Role

As a tech-lead on the shared cart/phone payment project, I was first and foremost responsible for a healthy and stable development environment. That included making sure content and code was up to date, integrations with internal systems were in place, networking, firewalls, and security were properly set, and communicating with the team on any known issues.

Day to day activities, involved code reviews, approving techincal stories, creating technical diagrams, liasing with senior architects, quality assurance, and business analyts to ensure that all business requirements had been met.
