Kiosk

The kiosk redesign was a make-over project that brought new life to CT's in-store Customer Facing Devices (CFD). These devices allow customers and staff to scan products by QR codes, search for products physical location, and enage with interactive media like How-To's and Tire & Wheels selectors.

My Role

My main task on the Kiosk project was the development of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) components. The goal was to use the exisiting services and API's on the Canadian Tire website where possible, and if needed extend their functionality and style to conform to the new design and business requirements.

Working on a device with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 was different then what I was accustomed to and because of the older browsers on these devices, development had to be done with backwards compatibility. Performance and removing bottle neck requests was also key as these devices worked on slower corporate networks.
